Business Development Specialist

We are partnering with a fast-growing, technology-driven organization at the forefront of clinical innovation. They are seeking a Business Development Specialist to support growth across their clinical technology, software, and AI-enabled platform offerings.

This is a highly collaborative role sitting at the intersection of sales, client engagement, and solution positioning, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive revenue and build long-term partnerships within pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, and broader life sciences organizations.

The ideal candidate brings a consultative sales mindset, a strong understanding of the clinical research landscape, and the ability to clearly articulate the value of advanced, technology-enabled solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across pharma, biotech, CRO, and healthcare markets
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts

Proposals, Budgets & Commercial Support

  • Lead development of proposals, budgets, and commercial documentation
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, Statements of Work, and Change Orders
  • Ensure timely turnaround of high-quality client deliverables
  • Collaborate internally to ensure accuracy and alignment with solution capabilities

CRM, Pipeline & Sales Operations

  • Manage and track opportunities through CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot)
  • Maintain pipeline accuracy and visibility
  • Monitor sales activity and performance trends to support forecasting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and reporting

Marketing & Go-to-Market Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing on campaigns, outreach strategies, and positioning
  • Support conference participation, trade shows, and lead generation activities
  • Contribute to messaging and value proposition development
  • Provide market feedback to inform strategy and content

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Stay current on trends in clinical research, AI, and life sciences technology
  • Provide insights to guide sales strategy and account targeting
  • Support leadership with research, opportunity qualification, and planning

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within life sciences or technology
  • Proven ability to build and manage client relationships that generate new business
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and sales/marketing tools
  • Familiarity with proposal development processes (RFPs, SOWs, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Advanced English proficiency required
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (~5%)
