The Opportunity

This is a customer-facing Business Development Manager position focused on driving growth across Germany.

You will be responsible for managing strategic accounts, developing new business opportunities, and expanding relationships across the biotechnology, bio-pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and life sciences sectors.

Working closely with manufacturing, process development, procurement, quality, and technical stakeholders, you will act as a key commercial partner to customers operating within highly regulated GMP environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy across Germany
  • Grow existing accounts while identifying and winning new business opportunities
  • Build relationships with decision-makers across manufacturing, process development, procurement, quality, and operations
  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity generation through to long-term account development
  • Collaborate with internal quality, regulatory, operations, customer service, and supply chain teams
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, territory plan, and accurate CRM reporting
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support commercial strategy and growth initiatives
  • Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings across Germany

Essential Requirements

  • Fluent German and English
  • Based in Northern Germany
  • Proven Business Development, Technical Sales, Key Account Management, or Commercial experience
  • An established network across the German biotechnology, bio-pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or life sciences ecosystem
  • Successful track record of winning new business and growing strategic accounts
  • Experience selling into GMP-regulated environments
  • Ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, biologics, or life sciences production environments

You will be comfortable selling complex technical solutions, building long-term strategic relationships, and working with customers involved in biologics manufacturing, process development, purification, and pharmaceutical production.
