The Opportunity
This is a customer-facing Business Development Manager position focused on driving growth across Germany.
You will be responsible for managing strategic accounts, developing new business opportunities, and expanding relationships across the biotechnology, bio-pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and life sciences sectors.
Working closely with manufacturing, process development, procurement, quality, and technical stakeholders, you will act as a key commercial partner to customers operating within highly regulated GMP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a business development strategy across Germany
- Grow existing accounts while identifying and winning new business opportunities
- Build relationships with decision-makers across manufacturing, process development, procurement, quality, and operations
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity generation through to long-term account development
- Collaborate with internal quality, regulatory, operations, customer service, and supply chain teams
- Maintain an active sales pipeline, territory plan, and accurate CRM reporting
- Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support commercial strategy and growth initiatives
- Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings across Germany
Essential Requirements
- Fluent German and English
- Based in Northern Germany
- Proven Business Development, Technical Sales, Key Account Management, or Commercial experience
- An established network across the German biotechnology, bio-pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or life sciences ecosystem
- Successful track record of winning new business and growing strategic accounts
- Experience selling into GMP-regulated environments
- Ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, biologics, or life sciences production environments
