Senior Product Manager - HCP Marketing (Rare Disease Launch)
Location: Research Triangle Park, NC (Hybrid)
Overview
Our client, a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Senior Product Manager to support the upcoming launch of a novel therapy within a rare disease portfolio. This individual will play a key role in shaping and executing HCP marketing strategy, translating insights into high-impact promotional initiatives at a critical pre-launch and launch phase.
This is a high-visibility role offering strong cross-functional exposure and ownership across core brand activities in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of HCP-focused marketing tactics aligned to brand strategy and launch objectives
- Partner cross-functionally (sales, training, market access, analytics, and agencies) to deliver integrated promotional campaigns
- Own tactical development end-to-end, including concepting, execution, approval, and deployment
- Support annual brand planning, including strategy, positioning, messaging, and tactical roadmap development
- Manage agency partners, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of initiatives
- Develop and track KPIs to evaluate marketing effectiveness and optimize performance
- Generate actionable insights through market research, advisory boards, and field engagement
- Contribute to promotional review processes and ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance standards
- Build foundational launch assets (e.g., core visual aids, speaker decks) and support field readiness
- Maintain strong understanding of disease state, competitive landscape, and payer dynamics
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 6-8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device marketing (depending on education level)
- Prior exposure to product launches and HCP marketing strongly preferred
- Therapeutic Expertise:
- Experience in rare disease, specialty, or respiratory markets is highly desirable
- Capabilities:
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to translate insights into effective commercial strategy and execution
Preferred Background
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PharmD)
- Experience with peer-to-peer promotion or field-based marketing execution
- Demonstrated success supporting pre-launch or launch-stage brands
