Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process & Project Engineer to support packaging, manufacturing improvement, scale-up, and capital project activities within a GMP pharmaceutical environment.

The successful candidate will bring strong packaging experience while also supporting wider engineering projects across the site. This is a broad engineering role suited to someone who can operate across manufacturing, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging operations and packaging-related projects.
• Drive manufacturing scale-up, process improvements, and technology transfer activities.
• Lead engineering projects from scope development through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate equipment installation, FAT, SAT, qualification, and implementation activities.
• Prepare and review engineering documentation and technical specifications.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, Validation, and Maintenance teams.
• Support troubleshooting, investigations, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, validation, and change control requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong packaging engineering or packaging project experience.
• Background in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, MSAT, or Project Engineering.
• Experience delivering capital projects, equipment upgrades, or process improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to packaging equipment, serialisation systems, or packaging line improvements is advantageous.
• Sterilisation or sterile manufacturing experience is desirable.
