Travel: Approx. 60-80% (primarily regional)
About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will have full responsibility for a portfolio of customers within the paper and packaging industry. Your objective is to retain, grow, and develop long-term partnerships by delivering value-driven chemical solutions that enhance customer performance and profitability.
This role combines commercial ownership, technical value selling, and project-based growth in a highly customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow assigned customer accounts, with accountability for sales, margins, and profitability
- Build strong, trusted relationships with operations, technical teams, procurement, and management
- Identify, develop, and execute continuous improvement projects with measurable customer value
- Lead and assess mill trials and application projects from planning through to results
- Drive growth through new opportunities, upselling, and cross-selling initiatives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers
- Collaborate closely with technical, business development, and regional teams
- Ensure safe, compliant, and professional operations at all customer sites

What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper, Biology)
- Minimum 5 years experience in technical B2B sales (paper, packaging, water treatment, or industrial chemicals)
- Strong commercial acumen supported by technical credibility
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and customer expectations independently
- Confident communicator with a proven ability to build long-term relationships
