Role Overview
A small pharmaceutical company is seeking a dedicated Oncology Account Manager to cover their New Orleans territory within their solid tumor division. This role is pivotal in driving sales and establishing strong relationships with key thought leaders and prescribers within the territory to meet the needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets by effectively influencing key thought leaders and prescribers within the territory.
- Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing and resolving their needs promptly.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic business plans for key accounts and customers to address patient needs.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Product Promotion: Promote the company's oncology product to healthcare professionals.
- Educational Support: Provide educational support and resources to healthcare providers to enhance product knowledge and usage.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Experience and Skills
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years focused on hematology or solid tumors.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering exceptional results and navigating complex accounts in oncology sales.
- Relationship Building: Established relationships within community and academic accounts within the assigned geography.
- Strategic Mindset: Strong strategic planning and business development skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with healthcare professionals.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: $190,000 - $210,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location)
