Scientific Engagement & KOL Relationship Management
- Establish, develop, and maintain long‑term scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), researchers, and medical institutions.
- Conduct regular scientific exchange meetings to discuss clinical data, disease-state knowledge, real‑world evidence, and emerging trends.
- Identify and profile new KOLs and rising clinicians within the territory to support medical strategy and evidence generation initiatives.
Scientific Exchange & Education
- Present unbiased, scientifically rigorous information on company products, therapeutic areas, and relevant research to external stakeholders.
- Deliver medical education programs, journal clubs, and scientific presentations to clinical teams, patient associations, and payer stakeholders as needed.
- Provide scientific support at congresses, advisory boards, symposia, and investigator meetings.
- Provide timely, accurate, and balanced responses to unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs and institutions.
- Support development and review of medical materials, including slide decks, publications, and evidence summaries, ensuring scientific integrity and compliance.
- Educate internal teams on disease-state advancements, competitor data, and scientific updates to ensure medical accuracy across the organization.
Strategic Territory Planning
- Develop and execute a territory medical plan aligned with national and global medical strategies.
- Prioritize engagements based on scientific needs, data gaps, access challenges, or strategic opportunities within the healthcare ecosystem.
- Maintain accurate documentation of interactions, insights, and activities using approved systems and reporting standards.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all scientific interactions comply with company policies, industry guidelines, regulatory requirements, and local laws.
- Maintain clear boundaries between medical and commercial roles, ensuring all interactions remain non‑promotional and evidence-based.
- Participate in training and ongoing education to stay current with regulatory updates, scientific standards, and therapeutic area advancements.
Monitoring the Scientific & Competitive Landscape
- Continuously track new data releases, scientific publications, regulatory changes, and competitor developments within the therapeutic area.
- Synthesize emerging information into clear summaries and deliver updates to internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
- Attend major scientific congresses to gather insights, engage with experts, and expand disease-state knowledge.
