Field-Based | Dermatology

Overview

A growing biopharmaceutical organization is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support its expanding portfolio in the dermatology space. This field-based role will cover the Great Lakes region and is focused on building strong scientific partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) across academic and community settings.

The MSL will play a critical role in advancing scientific exchange, generating insights, and supporting medical education and research initiatives aligned with the company's overall Medical Affairs strategy.

Territory Coverage
IL, IN, IA, KY, MI, MN, NE, ND, OH, SD, VA, WV, WI
Candidates must reside within the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strongrelationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals
  • Execute regional field medical plans
  • Deliver high-quality, scientifically accurate presentations and scientific discussions
  • Serve as a trusted scientific resource for internal cross-functional partners (Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, etc.)
  • Support product launches through education on appropriate and safe use of therapies
  • Gather and communicate actionable insights from the field to inform medical and research strategies
  • Assist with planning and execution of advisory boards and other medical engagement activities

Qualifications

  • Prior Medical Science Liaison experience required
  • Background in dermatology strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical data clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong planning, organization, and territory management skills
  • Proven ability to build collaborative, cross-functional relationships
  • Solid working knowledge of drug development, clinical research, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly autonomous, field-based role

Education & Experience

  • MD, PhD, PharmD or MS required
  • 2+ years of MSL experience

Travel Requirements

  • Field-based role requiring regular regional travel (~60%)
