Manufacturing Process Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer to support its growing 3D-printed titanium implant manufacturing operation. The consultant will investigate and reduce manufacturing non-conformance's across multiple additive manufacturing machines, with a focus on improving process capability, product consistency and overall manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose the root causes of manufacturing, physical and clinical-related non-conformance's.
• Analyse production data against established product specifications.
• Determine whether issues originate from machine performance, titanium powder characteristics, software/programming, process parameters or upstream manufacturing inputs.
• Conduct manufacturing process diagnostics and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variability and increase yield.

Required Experience:

• Strong experience in metal additive manufacturing (3D printing), ideally titanium.
• Background within medical devices, orthopaedics, spine or implantable products.
• Proven track record in root-cause investigations, process optimisation and non-conformance reduction.
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing equipment, powder handling, manufacturing software and process validation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D and Operations teams.
