Head of Quality Assurance
Location: Zug, Switzerland

We are looking for an experienced leader to take ownership of Quality Assurance activities across Switzerland. This is a senior role with significant responsibility for ensuring compliance, maintaining high standards, and driving continuous improvement within a global pharmaceutical organisation.
What You Will Do
- Lead all quality-related operations within the Swiss affiliate
- Act as the main point of contact for quality topics across designated entities
- Ensure full compliance with Swiss and EU regulations, internal procedures, and industry standards
- Define quality objectives, monitor performance, and oversee audits
- Manage deviations, complaints, CAPA processes, and product recalls
- Oversee documentation control, including SOPs, specifications, PQRs, Site Master File, and Technical Quality Agreements
- Supervise supplier qualification for locally registered products and third-party services
- Ensure execution of self-inspections, GDP training, management reviews, and change control activities
- Maintain proper storage and archiving of samples and quality documentation in line with Good Documentation Practice
- Lead and develop the QA team through coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews
- Manage departmental budget and cost center
Your Profile
- Advanced degree in natural sciences or a pharmaceutical-related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, including acting as Swiss FvP or deputy FvP
- Strong knowledge of Swiss and EU regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
- Broad understanding of pharmaceutical sciences and industry practices
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and departments
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and engage with regulatory authorities (e.g., Swissmedic)
- Fluent in German (mandatory) and highly proficient in English
- Must be eligible to work in Switzerland
