Diagnostics Sales Representative POC- Outpatient N. CA
The Point of Care Diagnostic Sales Rep (Outpatient) is a field‑based sales role responsible for driving growth of point‑of‑care diagnostic solutions across Northern California, Southern Oregon, and Northern Nevada. The specialist independently manages an assigned territory, building strong relationships with outpatient customers and distributor partners, developing key opinion leaders, and navigating complex sales environments to maintain existing business while closing new opportunities. The role partners closely with internal teams to execute territory‑specific sales strategies, manage the full sales cycle, and ensure accurate forecasting and CRM activity, while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards. This position reports to a District Manager and requires up to 50% travel, including occasional overnight travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with customers and distributor partners within the territory
- Achieve sales targets through effective territory and pipeline management
- Identify and develop key opinion leaders (KOLs) who can advocate for point‑of‑care solutions
- Maintain existing business while closing new opportunities in both new and current accounts
- Navigate complex sales environments with multiple stakeholders and decision‑makers
- Develop and execute territory‑specific sales strategies, proactively managing risks
- Complete all administrative responsibilities accurately and on time (CRM, forecasting, expenses, training)
- Conduct territory analysis to assess total available market and optimize targeting
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of relevant sales experience, or 0-3 years with a clinical background (e.g., BSN, MLT, CLS, RT, Cardiac Tech)
- Must reside in the territory and be able to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven record of sales overachievement (e.g., President's Club)
- Experience in diagnostics, point‑of‑care, laboratory, or capital equipment sales
- Distribution or channel sales experience
- Consistent top‑20% sales performance
- Established relationships within the assigned territory
- Strong proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office
- Formal sales training (Challenger, Miller Heiman, or similar methodologies)
