Development Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer with a strong scientific and engineering background to join our team for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. This position involves supporting data analysis and trending activities, developing analytical tools, and working closely with our technical team to ensure robust processes from manufacturing through to product release.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced data analysis and trending to support process development and product release.
• Develop and optimize analytical tools for new data sets and trending activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand processes from manufacturing to release.
• Conduct experimental and statistical analyses to support development projects.
• Utilize Excel and other analytical tools for data visualization and reporting.
• Support lab-based activities when required, while primarily focusing on computational analysis.

Requirements

• Education: Master's or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
• Strong technical understanding of engineering principles and scientific processes.
• Proficiency in statistics and mathematics for data analysis.
• Experience with Python and advanced Excel skills (mandatory).
• Familiarity with general analytical tools; ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
• Lab experience is a plus, but the role is primarily data-focused.
• Biological or IVD experience is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
