Automation Engineer
EPM is currently partnered with a global medical equipment manufacturing organisation that is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing operations within a leading medical device environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong, hands‑on expertise in automated assembly and inspection systems and excels at collaborating with cross‑functional teams. This role plays a key part in maintaining, optimising, and advancing bespoke automation solutions that enable high‑quality, compliant, and efficient production.
Below you can find details of the role:
- Lead and support automation activities across assembly and inspection processes within medical device manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot, optimise, and enhance automated equipment performance to maximise reliability and production efficiency.
- Work with bespoke automation systems, contributing to design improvements, technical upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to support project delivery and implement new automated solutions.
- Develop and maintain key documentation, including URS, FDS, validation protocols, and change controls as required.
- Provide technical expertise during equipment upgrades, system integration's, and installation activities
- Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders; project management experience is an advantage.
Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively and support project management activities.
- Strong knowledge of validation, documentation, and regulatory requirements within medical device manufacturing.
- Proven experience in automated assembly and inspection systems.
