About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a scientifically grounded communicator (4-6 years' experience) ready to step into a more visible, client-facing role while continuing to build leadership and strategic capabilities.
What You'll Do
✅ Scientific Partnership & Strategy
- Act as a key scientific contact for clients, contributing to publications and medical affairs initiatives
- Support development of integrated communication plans, including publication and engagement strategies
- Contribute to scientific messaging and narrative development
✅ Publications & Medical Affairs Execution
- Lead development of coredeliverables, including:
- Manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and congress presentations
- Publication plans and author engagement materials
- MSL tools, advisory board content, training materials, and scientific platforms
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with client objectives
✅ Content Development
- Serve as a lead writer and content owner across a range of deliverables
- Translate complex clinical and scientific data into clear, compelling communications
✅ Collaboration & Mentorship
- Provide guidance and feedback to junior writers
- Partner cross-functionally with account, strategy, and creative teams
- Support alignment across internal teams and client stakeholders
✅ Project Ownership
- Manage multiple workstreams, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery
- Support new business activities, including proposal content and scientific input
What They're Looking For
- Advanced degree required: PhD, PharmD, or MD
- 4-6 years of experience in medical communications (agency experience preferred)
- Strong background in publications and/or medical affairs
- Proven experience developing manuscripts, abstracts, and congress materials
- Familiarity with MSL materials, advisory boards, and training resources
- Ability to manage projects, contribute strategically, and collaborate cross-functionally
