About the Role
A leading, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical company is seeking an Associate Director, Global Publications to lead the development and execution of HEOR publication strategy across key therapeutic areas.
This individual will play a critical role in translating HEOR evidence into high-impact scientific communications and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across HEOR, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access to ensure a cohesive and strategically aligned evidence dissemination approach.
Key Responsibilities
HEOR Publications Strategy & Planning
- Lead the development and execution of HEOR publication plans, aligned with overall asset strategy and value evidence generation
- Identify opportunities to communicate economic, real-world, and outcomes data to support payer and access objectives
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across HEOR, medical affairs, and global publications strategy
Content Development & Execution
- Oversee development of HEOR-focused scientific deliverables, including:
- Manuscripts, abstracts, and posters
- Value dossiers and economic models summaries (as applicable)
- Real-world evidence (RWE) and outcomes-based analyses
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with HEOR scientists, biostatistics, epidemiology, and clinical teams to ensure accurate interpretation and communication of data
- Partner with medical affairs and market access teams to align publications with broader evidence communication and stakeholder engagement strategies
- Engage with external experts, authors, and vendors to support high-quality publication development
Qualifications
- Advanced degree required: PhD, PharmD, MD, or MS
- ~7-10+ years of experience in HEOR & publications in the pharma/biotech industry
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing HEOR publication strategies
- Strong understanding of health economics methodologies (e.g., cost-effectiveness, budget impact, RWE analyses)
- Familiarity with global publication guidelines (ICMJE, GPP) and compliance frameworks
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including market access, clinical, and medical affairs
- Excellent scientific writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
