Account Manager - Cardiometabolic Diagnostics
The Opportunity
A Global Health Tech Leader is seeking an Account Manager to support its Cardiometabolic (CM) diagnostic product portfolio. This role supports point‑of‑care diagnostic testing solutions designed to provide timely, actionable insights for disease management and patient care.
The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of cardiometabolic testing analyzers and solutions across physician offices, hospital systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and corporate wellness programs. The focus includes point‑of‑care platforms for cholesterol, lipids, and glucose testing.
This position works collaboratively with Technical Consultants and Enterprise Account Managers while also independently driving new business, uncovering unmet needs, and maintaining strong distributor and end‑user relationships.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Albany or Syracuse, NY area. The territory extends west to Buffalo, north of NYC, and into Western Massachusetts.
What You'll Work On
Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
Build, expand, and nurture customer and distributor relationships.
Drive strategic development of point‑of‑care sales initiatives.
Execute sales, marketing, and national account programs as directed.
Maintain strong competitive and product knowledge.
Contribute to regional growth by aligning with team objectives and initiatives.
Provide technical expertise to support complex sales cycles.
Meet or exceed established sales targets while managing territory budgets.
Train and support distributor sales teams to effectively represent the company's diagnostic solutions.
Partner with distribution channels on training, sales meetings, technical resources, and marketing support.
Assist with contract negotiations, pricing, proposals, and bid submissions.
Address customer issues and resolve sales‑related challenges.
Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree in sales, marketing, business, or a life science field.
6+ years of experience in the medical diagnostics industry or business‑to‑business medical sales, including distributor‑driven sales environments.
Experience working with distribution partners and channel models.
Strong sales methodology knowledge and execution capabilities.
Demonstrated success in point‑of‑care and/or capital equipment sales.
