Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Validation Engineer to join a leading organisation within the medical device and diagnostics industry.

This role will focus heavily on LabVIEW and software validation, so we are looking for someone with hands-on LabVIEW experience combined with a strong background in validating software within a regulated environment.

You will support a range of software validation activities, working closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure systems meet relevant quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform software validation activities within a medically regulated environment
  • Work hands-on with LabVIEW, including programming, troubleshooting and/or modification of LabVIEW applications
  • Develop, execute and maintain software validation protocols and documentation
  • Ensure software and associated systems meet defined requirements and quality standards
  • Support the investigation and resolution of issues identified during validation activities
  • Work closely with engineering, software, quality and validation teams
  • Support change control and revalidation activities where required
  • Contribute to process validation activities where applicable
  • Support the preparation and execution of validation protocols such as IQ, OQ and PQ, where relevant to the project
  • Maintain clear and compliant validation documentation within the quality system

Essential Experience

  • Hands-on LabVIEW experience
  • Software validation experience
  • Strong understanding of validation methodologies and documentation
  • Experience working within a regulated engineering environment, ideally medical devices, diagnostics, pharmaceutical or life sciences
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, software and quality stakeholders

Highly Desirable

  • Process validation experience
  • Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ
  • Wider equipment, test system or manufacturing validation experience
  • Previous experience within medical devices or diagnostics
  • Experience supporting software-controlled equipment or test systems
