Site Technical Service Leader (M/F/D)
Our client, an industry-leading facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Site Technical Services Lead to oversee the delivery of integrated facilities management services at a large-scale life sciences manufacturing site in Ludwigshafen.
This is a high-profile leadership role responsible for the operational, technical, commercial, and strategic management of a complex GMP-regulated facility. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive service excellence, and act as the primary interface between facilities operations and senior client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all hard and soft facilities management services across a complex regulated manufacturing environment.
- Oversee the maintenance, reliability, and performance of critical building infrastructure and production-support systems.
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring high levels of service delivery, compliance, and operational performance.
- Direct large multidisciplinary teams, including in-house technical staff, facilities professionals, and external contractors.
- Take ownership of a significant operational budget and drive cost-effective service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements and other regulatory standards applicable to life sciences facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise reliability and minimise operational risk.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across site operations, engineering, facilities, and corporate functions.
- Monitor KPIs, service levels, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Provide commercial oversight of contracted services, projects, and additional works.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of technical expertise, operational leadership, and stakeholder management experience gained within highly regulated environments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading facilities management operations within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or similarly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical background in engineering, maintenance, building systems, and facilities operations.
- Experience managing complex industrial or manufacturing sites.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and contractor workforces.
- Solid understanding of GMP-regulated environments and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing operational budgets and driving commercial performance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
- Fluent German and strong English language skills.
- Comfortable operating in a highly visible site leadership position.
