We are supporting a global medical technology organisation as they continue to expand their engineering function in Limerick. They are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced electronics engineer who can take ownership of both electronic design and problem-solving activities, working across the full product development lifecycle within a highly collaborative engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support electronic hardware solutions for new and existing products.
  • Create and modify PCB designs using industry-standard design tools.
  • Troubleshoot, analyse and resolve complex electronic hardware issues.
  • Support product development activities from concept through verification and release.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including software, systems, mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
  • Review designs, schematics and layouts to ensure quality, performance and compliance requirements are met.
  • Contribute to design improvements, root cause investigations and continuous improvement activities.

Required Experience

  • Significant industry experience as an Electronics Engineer, ideally operating at Senior Engineer level.
  • Strong background in electronic circuit design, development and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience designing and working with PCBs.
  • Experience using Altium Designer and/or PADS for schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Ability to quickly adapt between different PCB design environments and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience processing and interpreting technical data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs.
  • Experience reading or supporting development in C and/or C++ environments.
  • Previous experience working within a regulated industry such as medical devices
