Role Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of a defined polyolefin product portfolio across the DACH region, driving commercial performance and sustainable growth.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Support regional sales teams through product expertise, market intelligence and commercial guidance.
  • Act as a key contact for strategically important customers and major accounts within the region.
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities through market development, portfolio expansion and new business initiatives.
  • Provide technical and commercial guidance regarding product selection, applications and market positioning.
  • Translate broader European product strategies into effective regional execution plans.
  • Support pricing strategy, forecasting, budget planning and profitability management.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, market trends and competitive activity to drive informed decision-making.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and demand planning insights to support supply chain and inventory management.
  • Facilitate collaboration between suppliers, sales teams and cross-functional business units.
  • Promote best practices and share commercial success stories across the region.
  • Contribute to long-term business planning and regional growth strategies.
  • Support the development and coaching of colleagues to strengthen commercial and technical capability.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Experience: Proven success within product management, business development, technical sales or strategic account management.
  • Industry Background: Experience within polymers, plastics, polyolefins, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals or related materials sectors.
  • Strong understanding of product portfolio management, supplier engagement and commercial planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across multiple countries and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience managing complex priorities in commercially driven environments.
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with a strong customer focus.
  • Languages: Fluent German and English are essential.
  • Experience operating within an international or matrix organisation is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the DACH region and occasionally across Europe.
