R&D Scientist - Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacometrics
EPM Scientific are currently partnered with a global pharmaceutical company supporting a broad portfolio of discovery and early development research programs across multiple therapeutic areas. They are urgently seeking a Scientist, Bioanalysis, reporting to the Bioanalytical Sciences Lead, to support their expanding Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacometrics / Bioanalytical Sciences team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to discovery research by developing and implementing innovative LC-MS based bioanalytical methods across a range of modalities, including small molecules, peptides, biologics, and complex therapeutic platforms. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bioanalytical support for discovery research activities and early-stage development studies.
- Develop, optimize, validate, and perform LC-MS based bioanalytical assays for small molecules, peptides, biologics, and other complex therapeutic modalities.
- Generate high-quality experimental data through hands-on laboratory work, including sample preparation, analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Conduct bioanalytical assays manually and using automated or robotic laboratory platforms.
- Process analytical data using advanced software tools and prepare clear, accurate technical reports and study documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by exploring automation, digital workflows, and software-based solutions to enhance laboratory efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- 2-4+ years of relevant bioanalytical laboratory experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or research environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with mass spectrometry platforms, including Triple Quadrupole and/or High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HRMS).
- Practical experience with liquid chromatography techniques and bioanalytical sample preparation methods such as SPE and LLE.
- Proficiency with analytical software and data analysis tools, including mass spectrometry data processing platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent English communication skills, strong scientific problem-solving abilities, and a demonstrated willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and methodologies.
