QC Senior Scientist, Raw Materials

We're partnering with a leading life sciences manufacturing organization that is looking to add a QC Senior Scientist to support raw materials testing and laboratory operations at its Portsmouth, NH site.

This is a great opportunity for a scientist who enjoys solving technical challenges, working in a GMP-regulated environment, and contributing to the quality and release of materials used in the manufacture of critical therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing to support raw material release and routine quality control activities
  • Support method transfers, method validation, and laboratory investigations
  • Review analytical data to ensure compliance with GMP and data integrity requirements
  • Author and review protocols, reports, test methods, and technical documentation
  • Participate in laboratory investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, Technical Operations, and Supply Chain teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory
  • Train and mentor junior team members on laboratory methods and best practices
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on raw material testing and compliance-related activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline required
  • Strong chemistry foundation required
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related laboratory environment
  • Experience in Quality Control preferred
  • Familiarity with raw material testing, method transfers, and analytical method validation
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Experience with laboratory quality systems such as LIMS, TrackWise, electronic laboratory notebooks, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Ideal Background

  • Scientists with 10+ years of industry experience and a strong chemistry background, or
  • PhD-level scientists with 1-3 years of relevant industry experience

  • Full-time, onsite position in Portsmouth, NH
  • Monday through Friday schedule
