An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join a growing specialist pharmaceutical organisation with an expanding presence in oncology and specialty care. This is a highly visible field-based Medical Affairs role offering the opportunity to work closely with leading oncology experts, contribute to launch activities, and support the delivery of innovative therapies to patients across Spain and Portugal.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain scientific relationships withoncologists, investigators, hospital pharmacists, specialist nurses and other key stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality scientific exchange on clinical data, treatment pathways, biomarkers and standards of care.
- Gather and communicate actionable medical insights to support Medical Affairs strategy and cross-functional decision-making.
- Support congresses, advisory boards, medical education initiatives and expert engagements.
- Contribute to stakeholder mapping, launch readiness activities and patient-pathway assessments.
- Identify evidence gaps and support real-world evidence, investigator-sponsored research and post-marketing scientific activities.
- Collaborate effectively with Medical Affairs, Market Access and cross-functional teams while maintaining appropriate medical independence.
- Maintain deep expertise across oncology disease areas and the evolving clinical landscape.
Candidate Profile
- A degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology or another relevant life sciences discipline. A Master's degree, PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- At least 2 years of experience in an MSL or field-based Medical Affairs role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Direct oncology experience and the ability to engage credibly with oncology specialists on complex scientific and clinical topics.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, scientific exchange, insight generation, territory planning and congress or advisory board support.
- Strong understanding of the Spanish healthcare environment and oncology landscape.
- Fluent Spanish and English language skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory and attend national and international meetings.
- Experience within areas such as solid tumours, gynae-oncology, oncology supportive care, biomarkers, companion diagnostics, biologics, novel therapies or launch environments would be highly valued.
