We have a current opportunity for a Manufacturing/Equipment Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Cork. For further information about this position please apply.

  • Duration: 12 months initially (with the potential to extend)
  • Location: Based in Cork
  • Work Arrangement: 80% onsite
  • Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Manufacturing/Equipment Engineer to join our dynamic team in the medical devices sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment qualification, manufacturing process support, and problem-solving within a regulated environment. This role is critical in ensuring that manufacturing equipment is properly qualified, maintained, and optimised to support high-quality and compliant production.

  • Lead and support equipment qualification activities including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process-related issues to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and validation reports.
  • Provide technical support for process development, scale-up, and transfer activities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.
