Managed Care Liaison - Western Region

Role Summary
This remote role focuses on engaging healthcare decision-makers across the Western U.S. to support clinical, scientific, and health economics discussions within a specialized therapeutic area. The position plays a key role in generating insights, supporting evidence-based strategies, and enhancing market access efforts in collaboration with Medical Affairs and Market Access teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with regional healthcare stakeholders, including payors, PBMs, GPOs, IDNs, health systems, and provider networks
  • Communicate clinical and economic data related to disease states and treatment options, with a focus on myeloproliferative neoplasms
  • Maintain deep understanding of regional managed care structures and account dynamics
  • Align medical strategy with broader Market Access goals in collaboration with corporate account teams
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends; share actionable insights with internal teams
  • Contribute to health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) initiatives and support related projects
  • Represent Medical Affairs at regional and national payor-focused congresses; lead stakeholder engagement and insight collection
  • Provide scientific and strategic input across Medical Affairs and Market Access functions
  • Deliver internal education on HEOR and therapeutic area developments
  • Stay current on scientific literature and present key findings internally and externally

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) required
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in field-based roles or pharmacoeconomics within pharma, managed care, academia, or HEOR organizations
  • Experience in hematology/oncology and managed care preferred
  • Strong understanding of payer and access landscapes in the Western U.S.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams
  • Skilled in managing complex projects and communicating scientific concepts in business terms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of delivering high-quality work on time
