Laboratory Instrument Services Seniorr Technician

The Opportunity

A global leader in integrated laboratory and technical services is looking for a Senior Laboratory Instrument Technician to calibrate, maintain and repair scientific instrumentation across critical client environments.

This is a hands-on, technically rich role for someone who enjoys working with precision equipment and being the go-to expert for keeping laboratories running at peak performance. You'll partner with clients across pharma, biotech, healthcare, food & beverage and manufacturing - supporting the instruments that underpin their most important scientific work.

If you take pride in technical excellence, problem-solving and delivering reliable service, this is a great platform to build your career within a world-class lab services organisation.

What You'll Do

  • Calibrate, maintain and repair scientific instrumentation - disassembling, examining, cleaning, testing and servicing specialised equipment, systems and controls.
  • Operate test equipment including multimeters, frequency generators, counters, galvanometers, digital logic probes and oscilloscopes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues during both scheduled and unscheduled work, recording and reporting out-of-tolerance conditions and initiating corrective action.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with external contractors, tracking instrument and part reliability and recommending alternative service, suppliers and parts.
  • Document and report daily inspections, maintenance activity and repairs, and support the development of equipment, maintenance and calibration procedures.

What You'll Bring

  • High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience (a combination of experience and education will also be considered).
  • Hands-on experience calibrating, maintaining and repairing scientific or precision instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of standard technical principles and test equipment.
  • Any required licences or certifications where mandated by law.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.
