About the Opportunity
EPM Scientific is supporting a leading Swiss headquartered multinational medical device company with the search for an experienced Interim Specialist Insurance Consultant.
This is a unique opportunity for an independent consultant or insurance subject matter expert to provide strategic advisory support on an upcoming insurance broker retender. The engagement will support key stakeholders across Treasury, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, and other business functions throughout the review and tender process.
The assignment is ideally suited to a senior insurance professional seeking a flexible, part time consultancy engagement alongside existing commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on the structure and execution of an insurance broker retender
- Provide specialist insight into the Swiss insurance market and broker landscape
- Benchmark insurance programmes, coverage and broker arrangements against market standards
- Review and challenge broker pricing, fee structures and remuneration models
- Support the development of supplier evaluation criteria and selection frameworks
- Provide commercial guidance during broker negotiations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Treasury, Procurement, Legal and Compliance
- Act as an independent subject matter expert throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Strong and current knowledge of the Swiss insurance market
- Proven experience supporting or leading insurance broker tenders or retenders
- Background within corporate insurance, risk management, brokerage or insurance advisory
- Experience working with multinational organisations headquartered in Switzerland
- Strong understanding of broker remuneration structures and market practices
- Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and work independently
- Experience supporting procurement or strategic sourcing activities
Preferred Experience
- Experience within Medical Devices, Life Sciences, Healthcare or other regulated industries
- Established network across the Swiss broker and insurer market
- Experience with multinational insurance programmes and global insurance structures
- Fluency in English. German would be advantageous
Engagement Details
This is a flexible consultancy engagement requiring approximately 20 days of support across a six month period. The consultant will provide targeted expertise at key stages of the project rather than operating as a full time resource.
