Head of IT/OT
We are currently partnering with a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation seeking a senior leader to oversee their worldwide IT and operational technology infrastructure. This position is based in Switzerland and offers an excellent opportunity to shape the long‑term direction of a complex international environment undergoing significant modernization.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership for global IT/OT infrastructure teams across areas such as data centres, networking, servers, storage, backup environments and cybersecurity
- Defining and driving the long‑term roadmap for infrastructure evolution, resilience, security and architectural alignment
- Ensuring stable, secure and uninterrupted global operations, including effective disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity measures
- Monitoring service delivery to guarantee performance meets agreed internal expectations and business requirements
- Collaborating closely with senior IT and business stakeholders to guide investment decisions and prioritise global infrastructure initiatives
- Overseeing compliance with internal governance frameworks as well as external regulatory and security obligations
An ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Several years of senior‑level leadership experience in global IT or OT infrastructure environments
- Deep knowledge of core infrastructure components, including networking, data centre operations, server technologies, storage and backup systems
- Strong strategic and transformational mindset with the ability to modernise and optimise large‑scale environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse international teams and cultivate an innovative, high‑performance culture
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; advanced certifications or qualifications are an advantage.
- Fluent German & English.
