Freelance EMEA Indirect Purchasing Manager

EPM Scientific are partnering with a Packaging & Containers Manufacturer, operating across the Pharmaceutical & Consumer Goods space. They are seeking a Freelance Indirect Purchasing Manager to join them on an exciting project based opportunity in Rueil‑Malmaison, France.

Category focus will be on FM, MRO, Energy, Fleet, Tail Spend & Indirect Projects.

Key Responsibilities

🔹Lead sourcing strategies and competitive bidding processes across assigned indirect categories.
🔹Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier intelligence to support decision-making.
🔹Negotiate commercial terms and ensure contractual compliance across all EMEA sites (20x sites - circa €50m).
🔹Manage supplier relationships, performance monitoring, quality, service levels, and continuous improvement initiatives.
🔹Identify cost‑saving and value‑creation opportunities while ensuring business continuity.
🔹Support the rollout of regional and global procurement initiatives.
🔹Collaborate with local site teams to capture needs, resolve operational issues, and implement sourcing solutions.

Required Experience & Expertise

🔹8+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement within industrial, multi‑site, or international environments.
🔹Proven category expertise in:
- FM (Facilities Management)
- MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)
- Energy Procurement
- Fleet Management
- Tail Spend Optimisation
- Strategic Indirect Projects
🔹Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier‑relationship management experience.
🔹Ability to work in a matrixed international environment with multiple stakeholders.
🔹Must be a fluent French speaker.

Contract Details

Length - 3 months renewable
Hours - Full Time
Location - 5x days onsite in Rueil‑Malmaison for initial 3 months, transitioning to 3x days onsite afterwards
