Director, Commercial Training & Development

Location: Greater Philadelphia, PA or Greater Boston, MA

A growing biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Director, Commercial Training and Development to support enterprise-wide learning initiatives across the commercial organization. This role is responsible for designing and delivering strategic training programs that build critical capabilities across field and home office teams. The Director will play a key role in onboarding, product launch readiness, and ongoing development, while partnering cross‑functionally to ensure high‑impact and scalable training solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to enable commercial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new curricula and training materials to support the strategic needs of the commercial
    organization.
  • Design, develop, and deliver strategic training for field-based teams.
  • Develop and deliver training aligned to key commercial priorities.
  • Build and execute training to support product launches and ongoing business needs.
  • Lead development and delivery of systems and tools training.
  • Support onboarding and new hire programs for field-based teams.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to assess training needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Plan and execute large-scale training events and meetings.
  • Continuously update training content based on evolving business priorities.
  • Ensure training materials are reviewed through appropriate promotional review processes.
  • Support additional initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry experience.
  • 4+ years' experience in a home office or corporate training role required.
  • Prior experience building and executing launch training required.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills required.
  • Prior experience building and designing training highly required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience with Veeva Vault and promotional review committees required.
  • Ability to lead and organize complex training projects to support training.
