Creative Director
The Creative Director is a senior leader responsible for driving the creative vision of the agency while serving as a trusted partner to clients. This role blends high-level creative excellence with business leadership-overseeing teams, shaping strategy, and helping run the day-to-day operations of the agency. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable presenting breakthrough ideas to clients as they are guiding internal teams and contributing to agency growth.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership
- Define and champion the creative vision across all accounts, ensuring work is innovative, on-strategy, and high quality
- Lead concept development from ideation through execution across multiple channels and deliverables
- Oversee and mentor creative teams (copy, design, digital), fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Maintain consistency and excellence in brand storytelling and execution
Client Partnership
- Serve as a senior, client-facing leader, building strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Present and sell creative ideas with clarity, confidence, and strategic rationale
- Translate client needs and business objectives into compelling creative solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor, influencing brand direction and marketing strategy
Agency Leadership & Operations
- Play a key role in running aspects of the agency, including resourcing, workflow, and team structure
- Partner with account and strategy leads to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at a high standard
- Contribute to new business development, including pitches, proposals, and organic growth opportunities
- Help shape agency culture, processes, and long-term strategic direction
Strategic Thinking
- Connect creative execution to business outcomes, ensuring work drives measurable impact
- Collaborate with strategy teams to develop insights-driven campaigns and platforms
- Stay current on industry trends, technology, and competitive landscape to inspire innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a creative role within an agency environment, with leadership experience required
- Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual excellence and integrated campaign work
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, with strong presentation and communication skills
- Experience managing and mentoring multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of agency operations and business dynamics
