EPM Scientific is supporting a cutting-edge gene therapy initiative with a leading pharmaceutical company that is expanding its Medical Affairs capabilities across Germany. This freelance MSL role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative research in rare diseases and engage with top-tier experts in the field.

Project Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, clinical investigators, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Serve as a reliable source of unbiased, up-to-date scientific and medical information in gene therapy and rare disease areas.
  • Collect and communicate strategic insights from scientific exchanges to inform research and commercial strategy.
  • Support clinical trial activities including site feasibility, initiation visits, and patient recruitment strategies.
  • Represent external expert perspectives internally and identify opportunities for collaborative research or strategic partnerships.
  • Apply strategic thinking and prioritization to maximize impact while ensuring compliance with all relevant medical affairs policies and procedures.


Requirements

  • Strong experience (5+ years preferred) in Medical Affairs, ideally within rare diseases or gene therapy.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, or pharmacy.
  • Strong understanding of rare disease mechanisms and gene therapy modalities.
  • Ability to work independently in a freelance capacity, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany for field visits and scientific engagement.
