We are supporting a technically driven organisation developing complex products at the intersection of chemistry and biology. They require a highly experienced chemistry specialist to provide hands-on expertise in understanding how substances interact and behave in real-world, industrial applications.

This is a practical, problem-solving role focused on validating assumptions, guiding development, and ensuring products can be successfully brought to market.

  • Support product development and launch readiness, bridging science with real-world application
  • Design and interpret experimental testing to validate key assumptions
  • Provide hands-on input into formulation, process thinking, and material selection
  • Identify risks relating to chemical reactions, degradation, or incompatibilities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate scientific theory into practical solutions
  • Guide decision-making on how substances behave in industrial environments

Requirements

  • 15-20+ years' experience in chemistry (biochemistry / chemical biology preferred)
  • Strong industrial background (manufacturing, product development, or applied R&D)
  • Proven expertise in substance interaction (chemical ↔ chemical / chemical ↔ biological systems)
  • Highly practical mindset - able to move from theory to application quickly
  • Experience supporting product scale-up and launch considerations
  • Comfortable working in an onsite, collaborative environment
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline

Ideal Profile

  • Background in medical chemistry, biochemistry, or related applied science
  • Experience working with complex or sensitive materials / formulations
