Automation Engineer - SCADA

We are currently searching for an Automation Engineer to support a Global Leader in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry, Headquartered in Switzerland.

This project is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of extension or long-term engagement

Overview:

As an Automation Engineer, your main activities will include project-specific documentation, programming PLCs, and commissioning machines on site, and at customer sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the automation components of projects from initial contract review through to final customer handover.
  • Design and develop software for PLC systems, ensuring thorough documentation.
  • Create virtual simulation environments to validate PLC software functionality.
  • Conduct and document software testing in compliance with standard and GMP control qualifications.
  • Coordinate and execute commissioning activities both in-house and at customer locations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or automation.
  • Extensive professional experience within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Expertise in control engineering.
  • Experience in Siemens (Step 7/TIA) and/or Allen Bradley control systems.
  • English; knowledge of German is a plus.
