A leading European developer of advanced pulmonary medical devices is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to drive commercial growth across Austria. The organisation specialises in minimally invasive technologies for the treatment of severe emphysema and chronic bronchitis, including a CE‑marked bronchoscopic lung volume reduction system designed to improve lung function, exercise capacity, and patient quality of life.

The company's European commercial operations - including sales, marketing, storage, and product distribution - are coordinated via its office in Düsseldorf, ensuring structured support for activity across Austria.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee all commercial activity within Austria, including:

  • Developing and executing a sales strategy to increase adoption of minimally invasive pulmonary devices across hospitals, respiratory departments, and clinical networks.
  • Building and managing relationships with pulmonologists, interventional pneumologists, respiratory therapists, procurement professionals, and senior clinical stakeholders.
  • Delivering product demonstrations, in‑service training sessions, and clinical education related to the bronchoscopic lung volume reduction coil system.
  • Supporting clinicians during product evaluations and case-based education.
  • Managing the complete sales cycle from initial engagement through to negotiation and contract finalisation.
  • Monitoring market trends, collecting competitive intelligence, and providing strategic input to regional leadership.
  • Representing the organisation at key respiratory congresses and scientific events throughout Europe.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated success in medical device sales, ideally within pulmonology, respiratory interventions, ICU equipment, or related clinical fields.
  • A strong record of working with hospital procurement pathways and clinical decision-making units.
  • High technical competency and the ability to explain complex clinical technologies with clarity.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in German, with strong English communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Austria.
