Supplier Quality Leader
I'm currently working with a mid-sized medical device company that is building out their U.S. market. They have an annual revenue of $1B+ and it's projected to continue to grow with new plans for the future. It's time to continue to build out their Quality leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supplier quality strategies for assigned commodities, collaborating closely with supply chain and quality assurance teams.
- Lead supplier audits, performance monitoring, and corrective actions using KPIs such as PPM, on-time delivery, and responsiveness.
- Act as the quality expert for assigned commodities, partnering with engineering and sourcing to define requirements and drive supplier selection processes.
- Manage escalations and continuous improvement initiatives, applying structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3, DMAIC).
The ideal candidate brings:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (MBA preferred) and 7+ years in supplier quality or related roles within global manufacturing; medical device experience is a plus.
- Proven expertise in supplier relationship management, negotiation, and executive-level stakeholder communication.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects in a continuous improvement environment.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma or Supplier Quality Engineer are preferred but not required.
