About the Role
We are looking to connect with a Senior Director of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) to lead and expand a dynamic team of scientists and modelers. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in QSP, a passion for translational science, and a desire to shape the future of model-informed drug development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and strategic leadership for QSP initiatives across a diverse portfolio of therapeutic areas.
- Lead the design, development, and application of QSP models to support decision-making in drug discovery and development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology, biostatistics, and therapeutic area leads to integrate QSP into broader modeling and simulation strategies.
- Mentor and manage a team of QSP scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and scientific excellence.
- Represent the organization in external collaborations, regulatory interactions, and scientific conferences.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities for QSP applications and supporting proposal development.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Systems Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in QSP modeling, with a strong track record of impactful contributions to drug development.
- Proven leadership experience, including team management and strategic planning.
- Expertise in mechanistic modeling, differential equations, and simulation platforms (e.g., MATLAB, SimBiology, Monolix, R, Python).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in a consulting, CRO, or collaborative research environment is a plus.
