Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update electrical schematic designs in line with project and site requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with site standards, approved equipment lists, and industry regulations.
- Support hazardous area and intrinsic safety design activities.
- Produce, update, and issue redlined and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide limited CMMS input (training provided if required).
Background & Qualifications
- Experience within an industrial or process plant environment (essential).
- 18th Edition qualified (required).
- CompEx Ex01-Ex04 certification (preferred).
- Familiarity with IEC 60079-11 and IEC 60079-14 standards.
Technical Competencies
- Strong experience producing electrical wiring diagrams.
- Demonstrated ability to update electrical drawings and issue accurate as-built documentation.
- Capable of performing cable sizing based on:
- Motor kW
- Cable length
- Installation method
- Voltage drop
- Confident in selectingLV cables for:
- Motors
- VSDs
- Control systems
- Instrumentation
Tools & Software
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (required).
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical (preferred).
