Business Development Manager - Biopharma

Location:

Hamburg, Germany (with flexible remote work options)

Role Overview:

This position is focused on driving business growth in the biopharmaceutical sector across the DACH and BeNeLux regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing key accounts, and collaborating with international suppliers to deliver high-value chemical ingredient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies for biopharma ingredients (APIs, excipients, intermediates).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with R&D, procurement, and senior stakeholders.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing partners to align on customer needs and product offerings.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and provide regular performance reports.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals, or a related field.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across the assigned regions.
