Automation Engineer

We are currently supporting a global life sciences solutions provider in their search for an Automation Engineer to join their team in Switzerland. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career engineer to develop hands‑on experience in industrial automation within a dynamic and innovative environment, supported by experienced colleagues.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supporting automation projects across the full project lifecycle, from concept to on-site commissioning
  • Assisting with the design of electrical systems and the selection of suitable components
  • Contributing to the development of automation architectures, including PLC and HMI systems
  • Supporting system testing, validation, and commissioning activities
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation
  • Assisting senior engineers with technical input for proposals and cost/time estimations
  • Providing technical support during installation, start-up, and troubleshooting activities

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial automation, engineering, or a similar technical environment
  • Basic understanding of PLC systems and automation software (hands-on programming experience is a plus, not a requirement)
  • Exposure to Siemens automation environments (TIA Portal) is an advantage; Rockwell knowledge is a plus
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Strong willingness to learn, with good communication skills and attention to detail
