Account Manager - Rapid Diagnostics
Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for managing a cardiometabolic point of care diagnostics portfolio across physician offices, hospitals, corporate wellness programs, and integrated delivery networks. This role focuses on driving sales, expanding market presence, and supporting customers using analyzers for tests such as HbA1c, ACR, cholesterol, lipids, and glucose.
The territory includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned accounts and territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributor partners.
- Develop and execute territory strategies for point‑of‑care diagnostic products.
- Implement sales and marketing programs as directed.
- Maintain strong competitive product knowledge.
- Support complex sales processes by providing technical expertise.
- Meet sales objectives while managing territory budgets.
- Train, support, and collaborate with distributor sales teams.
- Provide assistance with proposals, pricing, bids, and contract discussions.
- Resolve customer issues related to product use or sales processes.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in business, marketing, life sciences, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in medical diagnostics, B2B sales, or distributor‑based medical sales.
- Experience working with distribution partners.
- Strong knowledge of sales methodologies and proven ability to execute sales strategies.
- Successful track record in point‑of‑care or capital equipment sales.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with contract negotiation.
- Background in complex or strategic selling.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
