Business Analyst (Commercial & Finance)
Our client is seeking a commercially minded Business Analyst to support strategic decision-making across a regional organisation. Working closely with Finance, Sales and Operations, you will turn data into actionable business insights, support financial planning activities and help drive business growth through informed decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical capabilities with commercial awareness and enjoys partnering with stakeholders across the business to solve complex challenges.
Responsibilities
- Analyse commercial, financial and operational performance across the region.
- Develop business cases to support strategic investments and growth initiatives.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
- Partner with Sales teams to understand performance drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
- Extract, structure and analyse data from ERP and business intelligence platforms.
- Produce management reporting and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense or Tableau.
- Support ERP transformation projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
- Participate in data integration and EDI-related projects with external partners and suppliers.
- Challenge assumptions, improve processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in Business Analysis, Commercial Analytics, FP&A, Business Intelligence or a similar analytical role.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to build business cases and support strategic decision-making.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Qlik Sense or Tableau is preferred.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migrations, ERP transformations or EDI integration projects would be advantageous.
- Fluent English,German and French are essential; Italian would be a strong plus.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across Finance, Sales and Operations.
- Quick learner with a proactive, commercially minded and solution-oriented approach.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Motivated to contribute to long-term business growth and performance.
