About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a growing life sciences engineering organisation supporting large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing projects. This role will play a key part in managing procurement activities across complex capital projects, ensuring the timely sourcing of equipment, materials, and services that support critical manufacturing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who thrives in a project-driven environment and is looking to make a visible impact within a fast-paced and highly regulated industry. The position is offered on an initial contract basis with a clear pathway to a permanent role for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities across major engineering and manufacturing projects.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for equipment, materials, and subcontracted services.
  • Manage supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, project teams, and external suppliers.
  • Ensure procurement activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality expectations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Support category management and strategic sourcing initiatives where required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and project requirements.
  • Experience working with contractors on-site and familiarity with AB18

Requirements

  • Proven experience within procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Background working in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, engineering, manufacturing, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation experience.
  • Experience managing suppliers across complex project environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Degree qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken, is required, as some work tasks involve Danish written documentation.
