EPM is partnering with an independent, award winning global medical communications agency that is hiring a Publications Manager for its US team!

In this role, you will lead client programs, develop team members, and help shape a maturing US operation that is supported by established global teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Own end to end publications planning and delivery for assigned accounts, including leading strategic publications plans, overseeing development of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and driving timelines, resource planning, quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Serve as both program lead and scientific lead by defining scope, building resource plans, setting timelines, and maintaining high standards of quality control across all deliverables.
- Mentor and coach writers and scientific associates through structured feedback, skills development, and on the job guidance, with a pathway to formal line management as the team grows.
- Partner closely with client medical affairs and cross functional stakeholders to shape strategy, strengthen relationships, and earn repeat business through reliable delivery and scientific rigor.
- Manage and contribute to business operations, including RFIs and RFPs, proposals, capability decks, budgets, and resource plans, and help allocate new opportunities to the most appropriate internal team.
- Contribute directly to content where you add the most value, including framing scientific narratives, outlining manuscripts, reviewing data and references, and performing critical quality reviews.
- Maintain disciplined program governance, including status tracking, timeline management, risks and issues management, budget stewardship, and change control.
- Champion internal quality standards by refining checklists, templates, and review processes that raise the bar for accuracy and clarity.
- Support team growth by contributing to resource planning, hiring, onboarding, and continuous improvement of ways of working within the US publications capability.
Key Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a life science discipline (Masters, PhD, PharmD)
- 5-10 years of full-time experience at a healthcare/medical communications agency with a focus on publications and/or medical affairs
- Hybrid flexible - must be willing to be hybrid 2-3 times a week
- Ability to develop and accurately evaluate and analyze medical/scientific publications and literature
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
