LIMS Implementation & Validation Engineer

We're currently searching for a LIMS Implementation & Validation Engineer to join a global biopharmaceutical company in the Zurich area. This is a key role supporting the lab's transition from a paper-based system to a fully digital, automated environment.
Your Responsibilities
As a LIMS Implementation & Validation Engineer, you will:
- Support the full implementation of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Help labs move from manual, paper-based processes to digital workflows
- Translate user needs into User Requirement Specifications (URS)
- Collaborate with suppliers to define and configure system functionalities
- Write and execute validation protocols, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Provide hands-on support in the lab during testing and validation
- Manage deviations, change controls, and non-conformities (NCs)
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and GAMP 5 guidelines
Your Profile
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled professional with:
- Experience in LIMS implementation and validation in a regulated lab environment
- Solid understanding of GAMP 5 and ISO 17025
- Background in lab digitalization or automation projects
- Strong documentation skills (URS, protocols, reports)
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with lab teams and suppliers
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with LIMS platforms and lab software systems
- Experience with validation tools and documentation standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
