About the Role
Our client, an international organisation, is looking for an Interim Logistics Sourcing Expert to support key sourcing initiatives across parcel and selected logistics sub‑categories. This role will focus on independently driving RFQs/RFPs, developing a strong analytical fact base, and supporting supplier selection and negotiations in a structured, pragmatic manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading end‑to‑end RFQs/RFPs for parcel services and selected logistics categories
* Defining tender scope, specifications, bid structure, and evaluation methodology
* Building commercial scenarios, pricing comparisons, and supplier evaluation models
* Analysing shipment, spend, and rate data using Excel (Power BI is a plus)
* Translating business requirements into clear sourcing strategies and tender documentation
* Supporting negotiations, recommendations, and award decisions
* Ensuring structured documentation, transparency of assumptions, and clean handover
Required Profile
* Strong background in logistics sourcing/procurement, ideally with parcel tender exposure
* Ability to independently design and manage RFQs, define scope, and structure supplier requests
* Solid understanding of parcel carrier pricing models (rates, fuel, accessorials, service structures)
* Hands‑on analytical capability; able to work without dedicated e‑sourcing tools
* Advanced Excel skills; Power BI beneficial
* Strong stakeholder management skills across Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and operational teams
* Proactive, structured, and able to drive projects independently at pace
Preferred Background
* Experience in global or regional logistics categories beyond parcel
* Understanding of logistics execution processes
* Experience with logtech, parcel execution flows, freight audit, or shipment/invoice data validation
* Exposure to manufacturing, medtech, healthcare, or other service‑critical environments
Ideal Candidate
A self-driven sourcing professional with strong parcel market knowledge, analytical depth, and practical logistics understanding-capable of independently managing tendering activities from scope definition through analysis and final recommendation.
