Country Manager - Lithuania
12‑Month Contract (with Strong Potential for Permanent Employment)
We are seeking a Country Manager for Lithuania on a 12‑month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of transition into a permanent position, to drive business development and overall performance in the Lithuanian market. The role has a strong focus on medical genetic tests, particularly prenatal screening (NIPT).
In this country-level role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities while leading and coordinating local expert teams. You will optimize existing sales processes, develop new sales channels, and implement innovative, out-of-the-box approaches tailored to the specifics of the Lithuanian healthcare market.
As the local face of the company, you will be responsible for defining and executing an effective country sales and business strategy. Your goal will be to achieve sustainable financial growth, successfully establish and grow the business during the contract period, and position the role for a long-term continuation.
Key Tasks
- Oversee day-to-day operations in Lithuania, including logistics, accounting coordination, sales, marketing, and HR-related activities
- Lead, educate, and manage the local sales team, ensuring alignment with regional and global objectives
- Identify key stakeholders and decision-makers in the Lithuanian NIPT market and execute a long-term country business strategy
- Build and maintain a strong local network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), partners, and distribution channels
- Actively participate in the sales process and lead by example
- Monitor market trends and proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within Lithuania
Requirements
Your Skills
- Hands-on, sales-driven, and goal-oriented professional with strong people skills
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation abilities
- Solid background in business development and sales team management
- In-depth knowledge of the Lithuanian healthcare and laboratory market, particularly in the private sector
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop sales teams
- Full professional proficiency in English is required; Lithuanian language proficiency is a strong advantage
You Would Have an Advantage With
- A higher education degree in medicine, biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of NIPT and other first-trimester screening products
- Experience working with gynaecologists, laboratories, or within the medical diagnostics industry
- Experience in market entry, business build-up, or contract-to-permanent roles
