Join a small, mission-driven team pioneering AI tools to predict drug toxicity and reduce reliance on animal testing. EPM Scientific is currently partnered with an early-stage biotech developing technology to help pharma teams identify safety risks earlier and accelerate the path to new medicines.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with ML researchers to build and refine models for molecular property prediction.
- Work with large-scale chemical datasets-cleaning, curating, and analyzing patterns across diverse compounds.
- Interpret model behavior and outputs to guide improvements and uncover structure-property relationships.
- Collaborate with pharma partners to apply insights to real-world drug programs.
- Design strategies to expand and optimize chemical datasets based on model performance and user needs.
- Contribute to product development by translating scientific insights into practical tools.
What We're Looking For:
- Background in computational chemistry, cheminformatics, or a related field (PhD or industry experience).
- Strong coding skills in Python and familiarity with tools like RDKit, NumPy, Pandas, and SQL.
- Experience working with drug discovery teams and interpreting complex chemical data.
- Ability to communicate scientific findings clearly and collaborate across disciplines.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work directly shapes the product and science.
