A rapidly growing, boutique Contract Research Organization (CRO) is seeking an experienced Clinical Project Manager with post‑operative pain experience to support and lead clinical programs across chronic and acute pain as well as psychiatric indications. The Clinical Project Manager will support and lead cross‑functional clinical trial execution across Phase I-III studies, serving as a primary point of contact for sponsors while helping to ensure timelines, quality, and budgetary objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day project activities for clinical trials across Phase I-III, supporting on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality delivery
- Serve as a key liaison between sponsors, internal teams, and external vendors
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and budgets
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including Clinical Operations, Data Management, Biostatistics, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs
- Identify project risks and support implementation of mitigation strategies
- Provide regular project updates, status reports, and communications to sponsors and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within a growing CRO environment
- Collaborate closely with more experienced project leaders while continuing to build project management expertise
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 4+ years of clinical project management experience within a CRO environment
- Experience supporting or managing Phase I-III clinical trials
- Background in pain (chronic and/or acute) and/or psychiatric indications strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple studies or workstreams concurrently
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
